Originally believing owning single-family rental properties was the best way to build wealth for his retirement, company founder Ed Barriskill realized that strategy wasn't working. After endlessly navigating 30 years of dramatic ups and downs of the residential real estate market, and on the advice of a trusted friend, Ed refocused his energies on commercial real estate. After refinancing their rental properties, Ed and his wife purchased their first commercial property.
Overnight, Ed's monthly rental income jumped 125%! That single transaction allowed Ed's wife to retire immediately from her full time job.
Ed’s family, friends, and growing client base asked how they could obtain predictably consistent cash flow and build their net worth as Ed had done. That's when Ed realized the growth and success potential of helping others achieve their financial needs, goals, desires and dreams.
With his investor community, Ed and the Barriskill Investment Group has purchased and been involved as a co-sponsor in the purchase of over $150MM of commercial real estate -- primarily multifamily apartment properties.
Today, the Barriskill Investment Group's portfolio owns and manages over $50MM in commercial real estate. This portfolio continues to grow with a strong performance history.
Investor Relations and Operations
Tony has been actively investing in multifamily projects for over 6 years. But his real estate investing started in 1991 when he sold an old Corvette to purchase his first rental property. He knew he was hooked when he discovered: “Cars eat your paycheck, real estate feeds you...”
After years of investing part time while working at several fortune 500 companies, Tony jumped into real estate with both feet in 2005. He quickly became a broker/owner of 3 national franchise real estate offices by 2007. In 2018 he sold his last real estate office so he could focus only on investing. Now with several hundred creative single family and multifamily transactions under his belt, he is “psychologically unemployable” by the corporate world.
Today Tony enjoys coaching and mentoring investors. In 2012 his son, Anthony, got involved in the family business and now this father & son team enjoy the benefits of family time and real estate investing. Their combined investment portfolio includes over 30 single family rentals, a mobile home park, and five multifamily properties.
